Meet Our Pastors
Tom Logsdon, Senior Pastor
Tom and Sherrie came to know Christ as their Savior in their mid twenties. They owned and operated a dairy farm in western New York State. Two years after their salvation they sold the farm and moved to Chattanooga, TN to train for ministry. Tom graduated in 1974 with a Thg. degree from Tennessee Temple University. He earned his Master of Ministry degree from Bethany Bible College.
Tom was the pastor at Doran’s Cove Baptist Church in Bridgeport, AL during his college days at TTU. After graduating the Logsdon moved back to New York State. The Lord allowed them to start three churches in the upstate region. Faith Baptist Church in Morrisville, NY; Grace Baptist Church in Dansville, NY and Cornerstone Baptist Church in Geneseo, NY. All three continue to be fruitful and growing ministries.
Since 1994 Tom has been serving in administration with Continental Baptist Missions of Rockford, MI. He has served as the Pre-Field Director and currently as Field Director, overseeing and encouraging the CBM Church Planting ministries.
Tom and Sherrie have five grown children and fourteen grandchildren. Sherrie is a lifelong equestrian. She owns and operates a riding facility in Cedar Springs. Sherrie’s hobbies include her love for horses and her grandchildren. Tom’s hobbies are golf and wood working. He also shares Sherrie’s passion for horses.
Tom and Sherrie have been serving the Lord at Maranatha Baptist Church since January 2008.
