WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?

It is not always easy visiting a church for the first time. You may be asking yourself questions such as: Am I really welcome? Will I be conspicuous? How do I dress? Will my kids like it? Will they ask me for money? Am I welcome even if I am not sure what I believe?

We want your visit to be to be a stress-free, enjoyable experience, so here is a brief overview of what to expect at Maranatha Baptist Church.

You will be greeted at the front door by one of our friendly volunteers who will help direct you to the worship center. You will also receive a bulletin which lists the order of service for the day and information about upcoming events and opportunities at our church. Nursery is available during all services for children up to age 4. Junior Church is excused prior to the beginning of the sermon and is open to children through 3rd grade. We encourage you to join our folks in the gathering room just inside the worship center on your left. We regularly meet for coffee and treats, and to enjoy one another's fellowship before the morning service. Restroom facilities are available in the main lobby.

Our service begins at 10:00 am with inspirational music, followed by a welcome, prayer, and announcement time. We take an offering and if you are visiting, please don't feel obligated to give. We want you to be our guest! People who call Maranatha Baptist Church their home give out of gratitude for all that God has blessed them with.

At Maranatha, you will find most families come in casual attire, though some do dress more formally. We welcome you to our services in the attire of your choice.

One of our pastors --- Rev. Tom Logsdon or Pastor Joshua Putnam --- will give a message that is based on the Bible and relevant to daily life. The teaching will last about 35-40 minutes and we generally end the service with prayer and a song. A hearing assistance device is available; please see one of the technicians at the sound booth in the back of the worship center for more information.

When you visit us at Maranatha we want to make sure you meet our pastors. They make themselves available before and after the services to meet and greet the church family, and especially those who are visiting with us for the first time.
